Know the Signs

One of the most important steps in preventing and combatting trafficking is recognizing the red flags that serve as common indicators of human trafficking; learn these red flags from the Institute to Combat Trafficking.

Sex Trafficking

History of prostitution, internet use, trafficker control, medical indicators, and tattoos/branding can all serve as identifiers for possible sex trafficking victimization.

Labor Trafficking

Recruitment, payment, living & working conditions, medical conditions, and certain behaviors may all signify potential labor trafficking victimization.

Illicit Massage

Administrative patterns, practices, physical features, and victim behaviors can all indicate telltale signs of illicit massage trafficking victimization.
